Local food products...
I am always looking for indigenous Outer Banks food products. The criteria I use means products actually grown, created, made, caught, harvested or blended on the Outer Banks.
I think they make great holiday gifts. Hostess gifts are always in need in the season, or a little something extra for someone who has touched your life throughout the year... go ahead and buy a case or two of your favorites - that's what I do!
Products tested on the Outer Banks and mass produced elsewhere are of interest, too - say, for example, a well known flavor profile from a local restaurant could now be a bottled sauce manufactured in Baltimore with the local restaurant label on the package. I just consider this a different category than above! : )
