Shrimp Stock

I bought fresh, sweet head-on shrimp today and tried Lynne Foster's recipe for steaming shrimp in a dry pan. ummmmm.... hellooooooo! Where have I been?! This is the best way to cook shrimp ever. I didn't have celery seeds for her recipe, but we were not eating this shrimp peel and eat, but chilling for tomorrow, so that was ok. I just plain loved the technique!

What a reminder to read the simplest details in a recipe, we learn so much! Thank you Lynne.

Oysters RockYerFella

Just living on the Outer Banks, I know I am blessed. Add Oysters and October to the equation and I am blissed. That has been my weekend.

We picked up a half bushel of oysters late Saturday afternoon. By early evening, we were feasting on our first batch of saltybrinytreats. that's the rumor, in my spare time, which their is little lately, i have produced a charred tomato hot sauce that adds flavor with a bit of heat i am currently working aother one out in my head hoping to make it as soon as time permits, but not sure when that will be, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
